PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION NOMINATIONS ARE NOW OPEN
IMPORTANT: Deadline for nominations is Friday, March 30, 2012!
Do you know a counselor or counselor advocate who is hardworking, dedicated, (and probably overworked!) and deserves some long overdue recognition? Each year the Southwest Missouri School Counselors’ Association selects and recognizes deserving counselors and counselor advocates…and nominations are officially open. We are seeking your nominations for outstanding candidates in the following areas/categories:
• Elementary Counselor of the Year
• Middle/Junior High Counselor of the Year
• Secondary Counselor of the Year
• Multi Level Counselor of the Year
• Post Secondary Counselor of the Year
• Guidance Director/Supervisor of the Year
• Administrator/Counselor Advocate of the Year
Traditionally, the selection committee receives a number of nominations in the “counselor advocate” category, but we do not receive nearly enough nominations for the various counseling level awards. We urge each of you to consider nominating a deserving counselor that you know—someone who has been a mentor, a Godsend, your guardian angel, an inspiration or a role model. The process is easy. [Click Here] to download the Professional Recognition Nomination forms and begin putting together a nomination packet for a deserving counselor or counselor advocate. Come on, send a nomination packet in and make someone’s day!

Our Goal this year is to help our kids reach for the stars and to know their potential.
